Dor is a well crafted post card movie. The movie at many times moves as if the director is flashing postcards one by one. Set in the backdrop of himachal andRajasthanm, the beauty of nature is captured very well. Nagesk Kukunoor once again manages manages to create the emotional drama with this film. Solid performances by all stars especially by Gul Panag. She surely had shown potential after dhoop and in this movie she is surely a treat to watch. Miss Takia has also done a good job.Dor is a story of two different woman handle their dor of life differently and how their life intersects due to one incident.
The story is well written and screen play is good. Mr. TalPade manages to provide humour to this movie convincingly. One place where it lacks is in its ending which could have been a "less bollywood" ending. But with the script, direction and solid performances it is very good movie 8/10.

Life in metro

With the backdrop of a metropolitan city, Anurag Basu's 'Life in a Metro' attempts to demonstrate the conflicts of the practical and the emotional sides of the human mind. And it commendably succeeds in its attempt.

The director employs seven complex characters to narrate his story but expresses his vision very lucidly. Metro is one of those films that do not differentiate between the leading hero and the supporting actor with all characters having equal significance in the story. Akash (Shiny Ahuja) forms an informal bond with Shikha (Shilpa Shetty) and finds solace in her company despite knowing that she is married to Ranjeet (Kay Kay Menon). Ranjeet on the other hand has an illicit affair with his office subordinate Neha (Kangna Ranaut) sans any emotional bonding. Rahul (Sharman Joshi) who works in the same company is attracted to Neha but is oblivious to the fact that he is lending keys of his flat to his boss who is using the venue to sleep with the girl Rahul has been dreaming about all this while. Then there is Shikha's sister Shruti (Konkona) who is still a virgin at 30 and is unproductively hunting for prospective grooms through marriage portals. One such unique sample piece she encounters through the matrimonial service is Monty (Irrfan Khan). In a parallel story, a sexagenarian Amol (Dharmendra) reunites with his college ex-flame Vaijanti (Nafisa Ali) for a live-in relationship.

Without being episodic, each tale of Metro is interlinked with the other beautifully. None of the relationships come across as conventional coalitions and each bonding is treated very maturely. There is no one particular black character but every individual is shown to have a grey streak. The film has no idealistic heroes but points out imperfections in characters, something with which every discerning audience could identify with. Every character is exploited with one particular emotion and each one tries to overcome the guilt with their practical approach in the Metro life.
The script as such has no scope for music in the film but the director very skillfully assimilates songs in the screenplay with each number used as a transition track playing in the background. There is a song for each emotion in the film. Music director Pritam and his band appearing in every track onscreen performing somewhere in the background is a unique concept though after a point of time they tend to get monotonous. This is one film where songs despite being unnecessary, don't look forced.

Go movie

Abhay Narula (Gautam) is the only child of his parents and belongs to the high society of Bombay. His most priced assets are his loyalty and self-belief.These assets help him in forming trust and facing any kind of situations independently.Vasundhra Dave (Nisha Kothari), also comes from a rich family. She is a sweet natured girl, in awe of Abhay and believes Abhay no matter what he does.

Nagesh Rao (Kay Kay Menon) is a watchguard of law breakers but unluckily, he is not recognized for his honesty. As a result a volcano of resentment grows inside him which forces him to revert towards the wrong side of the law.

Go is a deteriorated version of RGV’s 2002 flick Road. The plotline is similar; one villain is replaced by three and is packed with some extra action, chases with two people on the run.

A hero and heroine fall in love. They elope and come across villains, get challenged by many obstacles which is followed by lots of action and finally come out unscathed. A short plot line is stretched too long and jarringly to such an extent that even burying your face deep into the popcorn tub and further digging it deep into the darkness under your seats is just not sufficient to run away from this all crap movie.

I think RGV has developed a strong liking for bad cinema. Manish Srivastava is no doubt one of the worst directors of the RGV camp .The movie describes the various situations that arises infront of the young lovers Abhay and Vasu, who run away from their respective homes. But they did not know that a gang of scoundrels are waiting to haunt their journey.

Things get complicated as the chase gets eventful with the presence of a cop, a conman, a killer and a powerful chief minister.
Will Abhay be able to rise above all odds and get themselves out of this chaos?

MASTI movie

Havingtasted the proverbial sourness in shaadi ka laddo, the three gear up to do some masti and decide that the only way to spice up their lives is to seek to excitement outside home. So the trio begins on their wacky and hilarious adventure to taste the forbidden fruit of an adulterous relation. To their further provocation, the three come across a desirable belle (Lara Dutta)

But before they could indulge in the act of infidelity, their adventure hits an unexpected hurdle when they become the unusual suspects in a crime case.Enters into the scene Sikander [Ajay Devgan], a cop who sees the threesome with a suspicious eye. The problem gets bigger for the three as they now fear prosecution by law and the exposure of their extra marital adventure before their oh-so-loyal wives.

From the very first reels, it becomes clear that the director has made an attempt to make a light-hearted flick without going into mushy sentiments. The story begins to grip a viewer right from the moment the three friends decide to look beyond their wives for intimate moments. And the interval point takes the film to a different high altogether, with the story getting into the crime mould. The film’s ending however is a bit let down.

The escapades of the three protagonists are quite hilarious, especially between Ritesh Deshmukh and Rakhi Sawant. The chemistry between the two is pretty good. But the scene-stealer in the movie is dimpled Aftab Shivdasani, who does an excellent job of mimicking Jim Carrey with his facial contortions and dialogue delivery. His comic timing is precise and body language well suited to the role.

On the other hand, Vivek Oberoi just about manages to play his character with his hamming act. The actor doesn’t really have a knack for humor and looks out of place mouthing those oneliners that may have acquired a different weight had they been rendered by a deft comedian.Ajay Devgan plays his role with remarkable ease and Lara Dutta too catches an eye with her marginal appearance.

Abound with slapstick humor that does make one laugh, Masti is a delightful and situational farce on the subject of sex. The movie is an out-and-out comedy without any hilarious moments. However, the humor is not the most witty, incisive or charming comedy, but it does a good job of entertaining viewers.

Introducing Bhool Bhulaiya

First of all let me make it clear, Bhool Bhulaiyaa is NOT an out-n-out comedy movie as its trailers suggest. It’s a thriller narrated in a very entertaining way.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa is the remake of a 14 year old Malayalam movie, Manichitrathazhu. The movie was also remade in Kannada and Tamil. It a script that has always worked! So is Bhool Bhulaiyaa in the same league?
Bhool Bhulaiyaa Story

Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Josi) is the head of the Brahmin family living in a small town were the people are very conventional and superstitious. His elder brother’s son Siddharth (Shiney Ahuja) and his wife Avni (Vidya Balan) return to their ancestral village after living in US for many years. Siddharth insists in staying in his ancestral palace which for long has been uninhabited as it’s considered to be haunted. Despite opposition the newly wed couple shifts to their ancestral mansion. Avni an adventurous girl breaks the ground rules to explore the room considered to be the devil’s home. What follows is a series of life threatening incidents. Siddharth instinctively invites his vibrant Doctor friend Aditya (Akshay Kumar) to solve the mystery behind the mansion and the mysterious events.

Who is behind all the baffling activities? Is it really ghastly or just a human trick? Watch Bhool Bhulaiyaa to uncover the mystery, for the movie ventures into one of the most confusing yet interesting study of human psychology.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa Movie Review

Priyadarshan has handled the complicated script extremely well. A few changes have been made to the original, to make it funnier and more convincing. The first half is a light comic thriller and completely revolves around the supporting characters. The lead character (Akshay Kumar) enters 45 mins into the movie and takes it to a completely different level. The second half is more of a psychological thriller.

Bhool Bhulaiya has just the right ingredients of a successful movie - adequate amount of comedy, suspense and thrill to keep you at the edge of your seats throughout. Music is never really great in Priyadarshan movies but Bhool Bhulaiyaa is an exception. Two songs titled ‘Allah Hafiz’ and ‘Hare Krishna Hare Ram’ standout. The background score is outstanding.

The performances are top-notch. The second half belongs to Vidya Balan. She has done complete justice to a role that demanded great onscreen histrionics. Watch out as she sets the screen ablaze with a mind blowing performance in the last 20 mins. Undoubtedly her best performance to date! Akshay Kumar is surprisingly good in emotional scenes and as always brilliant with his comic timing.

Shiney Ahuja is good. Amisha Patel should stop acting, the sooner the better. Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani are great in providing comic relief.
